Women scientists should be supported!
I think that woman scientists are usually not supported enough in scientific communities internationally (as I witnessed in Europe (scuh as in Italy, Germany and Austria) as women are considered as people who "should marry and become a mom", or they are mostly defined by "their gender" by men doing science. This makes it impossible to do science as "some" male supervisors define themselves with their gender and also focus on the "gender issues/relationship status" and "personal sides such as world view and general ideas" of research assistants. I think that the biggest problem I faced abroad is that many scientists cannot evaluate people based on "knowledge" and cannot comment on "scientific sides of some researchers/like me" mostly as they usually did not focus on any "scientific part" of my background. I did not like to be evaluated based on who I am, what my ideas are and what I think about. I hope that in my next research position; we reach at a point where my "knowledge, scientific background and my scientific inputs" would be under discussion. I would like to comment on this fact; as sometimes some "short term" employments on my CV appear to be as if I failed, whereas the real side is that, I never "failed" in computer science and my field; it is more like "I have a short time work" due to problematic scientists and racist people around whose main intention to "block" my career and scientific achievements. I wish that I could start up a position with a positive reference of any professor abroad; however I achieved everything by myself all the time and took all the positions abroad with my own efforts, and I had to deal with "supervisors" as well; whose main intention is to "block" my scientific achievements. In addition to that, some problematic supervisors also worked on me "at my other research positions". This kind of "hatred" towards people who just have different ideas, religion or any identity than the national scientists there seem to be showing the problem of "European system"; and it is for sure that any foreign scientist working abroad deals with "racism and discrimination" more than the "scientific context". :) I had been very much tired of dealing with problematic supervisors and collegues (except for my time in France) and I wish that I work at a happy and peaceful work environment where I am not disurbed by any person in the future. Jealousy is a big problem in European "mindset", as some people do not want "Turkish people" to advance in their career. If you have a problem abroad, my advice is that never mention it to "anyone" because your collegues and supervisor would be doing their best to "attack you more" understanding that they could disturb you. I understood this "attacking philosophy" in Europe and I wish everyone who joins a kind of "war" in Europe by joining any scientific research project in the future. Be prepared for mobbing and bad treatment, also arrogance, bias towards you. The worst thing is that, those who work on "disturbing you" usually do not have the same knowledge as you; so far in all my positions abroad, the universities and "professors" benefitted from my knowledge and I did not learn "anything" from any professor. So, I can say that "they just benefitted from my knowledge" with a cheap price and also bringing disturbance during my employment also later on at other positions. After all my experiences abroad, I appreciated the importance of "luck" and "destiny" in someone's life; if you are not "lucky" enough; you do not face "normal scientists" anywhere. I wish everyone good luck in their research career! :) Let be the luck with you... ! Do not trust any public system in Europe and never make the mistake of "asking for any help" by anyone around if you are in Europe, they could start making new "evil plans" by understanding weaknesses. This tradition is unfortunately coming from "Hitler time" in Germany, as they made "mass killing" of groups they did not like that time... With the tradition of "racism and hatred" coming from generations to generations, a person cannot be changed directly with a criticism done by a Turkish researcher; however I wish that my writing reaches at "some sensitive people" who can change some rules and laws for "hatred" towards other nations in Europe... Also, I always wondered why my grandfamily and grand grand family immigrated from Romania to Turkey during Hitler's time and I can understand the reason "why" by witnessing some problems. History must be repeated at some points; not knowing the past of my roots; I can just guess that conditions were so bad in Europe that, they left their "Romanian citizenship" volunteerly and became "Turkish citizens" many many years ago...
